About Me

My name is Beverly Hernandez. I was born and raised in South Central LA. I am a stay at home mom learning to live with Lupus, while earning income through my craft. I am supported by my loving husband and family and am now finding the courage to create my watercoloring books. Special thanks to my daughter for giving me the heart to persue such a lofty goal.

My story

The inspiration behind my watercoloring books and color pages came from my daughter, who wondered into my Art supplies and discoved my watercolor books. She loved painting, but was tired of her work of art shriveling up when the water touch the paper. The pigments would often fade and she wanted me to find away to make her artwork last longer. At the time, she was ready to explore other mediums and I gave her cotton paper from my watercolor books. She was delight and wanted me to find a "coloring book version" but in watercolor. I found some , even with palettes on the pages, but they used mixed media paper, which dose not absorb water well. So I took it upon myself to create my own. It was daunting, and expensive but, watching my daughter paint and proudly hang her artwork on her bedroom walls made my heart happy. Her excitement for each new illustration gave me the encouragement to keep designing pieces that kids—and adults—can enjoy and truly make their own. I will be documenting every step, growing and changing as I develop better watercoloring books.

Why do this? I have never seen anything like it on the market. I was having a very hard time finding something that was not instructional. My daughter did not wanted to learn how to watercolor at the time, she just wanted to paint for fun. Her love of learning to watercolor came after. At this rate, she will paint better than me.

A new watercoloring book will be released each season, with one timeless collection available year-round. Seasonal color pages will also rotate throughout the year, keeping things fresh and fun. This year’s theme For the watercolor pages will be inspired by the populare Ryder Tarot Card deck. The Tarot watercoloring book will debut in Spring 2027!
